Bio

I am a rock singer, songwriter, producer and vocal-coach born in the mediterranean island of Malta.

After being part of various bands in my native land, in 1987 I moved to Germany and joined “High’n Dry”. In 1988 the band signed a recording contract with Bellaphone Records and released the album ” Hands off my Toy”. The band toured in Germany, France and England and also supported well-known acts like Iron Maiden, Roger Taylor (Queen) and played at the Loreley Festival on the same bill as Meatloaf, Magnum and Marillion.

In 1995, after militating in various other German bands, I returned to Malta for a period of 6 years and released my first solo album “Radioed” which was quite well-recieved there. The album was mainly mainstream rock and was produced by long-time friend and collaborator Robert Longo. It featured various Maltese singers on backing vocals and all guitars were played by Torsten Weber. On bass it featured Gino Micallef, my long-time friend and ex-bass player with “High’n Dry”.

Back in Germany, I returned to my hard’n heavy roots and started playing guitar again, writing songs  and recording in my home studio. At the same time, I was studying vocal-technique and started to work as a vocal coach in franchises of the German music school “Music Academy”. I also sang in various Tribute bands with my most recent stint being playing Ozzy Osbourne in the Black Sabbath tribute band “Sabbra Cadabra”.

In 2010, I released my hard’n heavy self-recorded album “Angels Fall” (now available on all streaming platforms) with varios guest gitarrists playing the guitar solos. The album had hints of my doomy Sabbath roots and was the first CD where I could showcase the music I really love.

July the 1st ’22 will see the release of my new album  “Psychotic Tranquillity” written and recorded during Covid lockdown, an album I am particularly proud of.
